About me

I was born in a small village in Normandy, France. As a child, I used to draw everything that was within my reach. The nature that surrounded me was a constant source of inspiration. At the age of 10, I had the opportunity to meet H. Gabrielle Heleine, a professor at the School of Fine Arts of Rouen who had moved to my neighborhood and who introduced me to the techniques of drawing and painting.

At the age of 18, I quite naturally joined the School of Fine Arts, where I studied for 2 years. This was a fabulous period for me, and my passion for painting never faded after that.

At certain times in my life, I followed other professional paths. In 2001, however, I decided to devote myself exclusively to painting. I have had many exhibitions in France and abroad, but above all else, I love the solitary pleasure of creation – the omnipresent pleasure of playing with colors ad infinitum.

I invite you to discover my ultra-colored universe.

My vision of painting

What painting is to me ? A form of creative expression, each painting is a new adventure, a reflection, a questioning.

I like large-format paintings, diptychs and triptychs, and aim to find the right luminosity.

Mysterious union of material and light.

As a painter, I make up my own definition, refusing all forms of institutional concepts, and each of my works is the result of a personal questioning.

Contemporary art has no rules. As a consequence, I move away from academic criteria in order to better reject negative, figurative art.

Some contemporary works cannot told : they are meant to be looked at.

Freedom to imagine anything.
